Grade update

Since we updated portfolio folders today and passed back A LOT of work, I also passed out grade updates.

PARENTS- with the snow days, concerts, and winter break- many students are missing big project grades and quiz grades. PLEASE ASK YOUR CHILD FOR THE GRADE SHEET.

STUDENTS: 

If you have a zero on a project, quiz, or notebook check- you can still turn those in for partial credit. It is YOUR responsibility to make up work when you are out of class. If you have a zero on the children's book, the highest grade you will receive is a 10/20, but a 50% is better than a 0%.

Today we did Activity 78: the Earth on the Move.

We discussed annotating for a purpose and annotated the article.

 Homework is to complete the analysis questions 1-8 and bonus question.
Seasons posters were due today.

Today in class we worked on higher level thinking questions. You were given 3 text dependent questions and had to find the strongest evidence possible to support your claim.
We also ranked evidence from strong to weak and discussed what makes evidence strong.
